Survival Series is a small UK publisher of field guides for the moments that don't come with instructions.

Graduating into a job market that's apparently rough now. Starting a job and realising nobody is going to teach you how to do the job. Being made redundant. Pivoting careers in your thirties. Becoming a manager and discovering "managing people" is in fact the entire job.

We're not life coaches. We don't have a five-step framework for your one-of-a-kind problem. We're just trying to write the books we wish someone had written for us — practical, honest, slightly sardonic, designed well, free of "lean in" energy.

We also believe a book should be designed like it deserves to be read. So we spend disproportionate time on the typography, the colour, the layout. If you've ever bought a "career planner" PDF and felt like the design was as low-effort as the writing, you'll like ours.
